Installing A Toilet Flange On Concrete Floor

I am considering cutting old bolts and installing flange.

Toilets sinks showers dishwashers tubs and garbage disposals toilet flange on concrete floor hi all i m installing a toilet in the basement. I am replacing my tile floor and toilet. Though above floor installation is considered the right way to fit a flange some swear by attaching it level with the floor. The process is generally the same but the flange is secured down before the floor is finished.

Screw the toilet flange onto the concrete. If using a plastic flange ring be careful not to crack the ring by screwing the anchors in too far. With the drainage pipe ready the floor flange must be installed. I ll be putting down a tile over concrete.

I also will be using a self leveling compound to even out the floor before tiling. Fit the flange over the pipe to place it flat against the concrete floor. Closet flange installation 2 flush with the floor. When i got the old tile out i noticed that the floor bolts were coming out of the concrete and there was no flange.

Use tapcon anchors or a similar type of masonry concrete screws to fasten the toilet flange to the concrete slab. This is basically a durable plastic ring which fits over the drainage pipe to create a place where the toilet can gain solid purchase.
